How to Disable Index Service

Indexing feature is used to increase the speed of file searches by creating and updating the index of all files contained on a computer system. As a result, the performance of computer systems will be reduced because of this feature to work continuously in the background. Steps to turn off the features of Windows Index Service:

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Double click or press Enter item Add / Remove Programs. This will bring up the Add or Remove Windows Components.
3. Select and click the Add / Remove Windows Components. Wait a while, until the Windows Components Wizard window appears. Then, remove the check in the Indexing Service item.
4. Restart your Computer
